Water Softening - Service & Repair
KindWater offer competitively priced service and repair on most makes of water softener. Many problems can be fixed within the one hour covered by our £65 call out charge, with minimal parts costs.
But before it costs you anything, we will offer you free advice over the telephone and if appropriate send a free 'hardness test strip' so that we can better understand your problem. Our first objective is to save you paying for an unnecessary service visit.
If your water softener has a problem that you can't fix yourself, we will advise you of the likely costs and then book a service visit. Most 'labour-only' problems can be fixed in the hour, but if new parts and additional labour are required, we will advise you of these before you commit yourself to any additional cost.
Some water softeners are not economic to repair. Mostly this is because of a major parts failure on an older water softener. However there is one very common water softener that is inherently unreliable and almost always prohibitively expensive to repair. During the telephone consultation we will try to spot if your water softener is likely to be uneconomic to repair and advise you of this before booking a service visit.
KindWater's engineers carry a range of quality water softeners from 'budget to best'. If you decide during the service visit that repair is uneconomic, you will be given the option to have a new water softener installed - with the call-out charge covering the standard labour cost for connecting and commissioning the new water softener. To make sure that you do not feel under any pressure, you are welcome to pay for the call-out and we will then credit this payment against any replacement installation booked within three months.
